When is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day 2026 officially runs from Tuesday, June 23, through Friday, June 26. However, you don’t need to wait for the event to start saving. That’s because early deals are already appearing, as Samsung is rolling out discounts well ahead of the main sale. In fact, some of the strongest price cuts typically show up in the weeks leading up to Prime Day, so expect to see a lot more in the coming weeks.

Is Prime Day a good time to buy Samsung devices?

Amazon Prime Day is one of the best times of the year to pick up a Samsung device, be it a smartphone, TV, or laptop. In fact, Samsung is typically the complete opposite of Apple. Apple rarely discounts its hardware, and when it does, the discount is usually small. Samsung, on the other hand, is much more liberal, rolling heavy price drops across the board. You will also see Samsung offer added-value bundles, packaging a free gift card with the purchase.

How did we choose these early Amazon Prime Day deals?

ZDNET only writes about deals that capture our own interest — devices and products we want, need, or would recommend not only to our readers, but to friends and family. Our experts look for deals that are around 20% off (or hardly ever on sale), using established price-comparison tools and trackers to determine whether the deal is actually worth your time.

We also examine customer reviews and draw on our hands-on experience with new tech to understand what matters to real people who already own and use the products we’re recommending. The goal is to deliver the most accurate advice and to alert you to price drops so you can shop smarter.
